My style layers airbrush, paintbrush and paint pens to get the detail, depth and hand-drawn linework you won’t get from a print shop. No two hats are ever the same.
How it works
From your idea to their hands
1. Tell me the story
Who it's for, the occasion, the mine or company, names and dates. Send photos and logos. Even rough ideas are fine.
2. Quote & design
I'll quote and plan the design with you. I supply the hard hat (3M or your preferred brand), standard or wide-brim, with or without a lamp bracket.
3. Made in my studio
I paint every hat in my own style, using airbrush, paintbrush and paint pens, with printed logos and lettering where needed. Then it's sealed under a tough two-pack clear coat.
4. Wrapped & delivered
Presented in my signature bag and couriered safely anywhere in Australia.
Single hard hats from $250 for a logo design. Most fully illustrated hats are around $500. Team and bulk orders quoted individually.
Allow 3–4 weeks from design approval.

20+ years of airbrush, brush & pen
I’m Alison Cosgrove, an artist based in the Hunter Valley, NSW. I spent years as a full-time custom painter and airbrush artist, and my work has won awards at car shows across Australia.
My style mixes airbrush, paintbrush and paint pens: soft airbrushed depth, painted detail and hand-drawn linework on top. That combination gives my hard hats their look.
These days I take commissions for one thing: custom hard hats. Each one is an original, made for people who’ve spent their working lives on site and deserve something better than a plaque.
