Our Terms and conditions and contract for work
Below is a copy of our terms and conditions, upon any application for work to be carried out this is our contract that you will be entering into.
We feel that it benefits both, us as a company and you as a customer; a copy of these terms can be supplied or downloaded.
Only after a deposit is received will commencement of work be made.
These terms may be changed at any time without notice or prejudice.
ALISON ARTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Quotes
Before any work begins on any item to be painted, a rough quote will be given, either through our website or in writing. Quotes do not include postage in either direction and are a rough estimate only. Once item is delivered to Alison Arts, the actual final art is discussed and we can give a more accurate quote. Any repair, additional artwork changes and additions, bodywork, fabrication etc, if not specifically discussed during initial quote process, will (if required) be added to the final total.
Fuel tank preparation
All petrol must be drained from petrol tanks before delivering to us. All new tanks must be sealed.
Helmets
All stickers and labels will be removed prior to painting unless otherwise arranged. Please check with your helmet rep before committing to the paintwork, if your helmet is legal for the purpose that it is intended there will be a stitched in tag or label on the inside of the helmet.
Clear Coat
Alison Arts uses an automotive paint on automotive items, these must be clear coated and will not be released until this has been carried out. We outsource this process to highly reputable tradespeople.
Payments
A deposit is due to begin work. A deposit invoice will be sent to you for payment. The balance of the total bill is due prior to postage or collection. Absolutely no paintwork leaves the premises without full payment. A final balance will be given when possible at least 2 days before paint is ready for collection. Payment can be made with cash, credit card, PayPal or bank transfer. All bank transfers must have cleared in our bank account before any job is collected or posted.
Limitation of Liability
Once posted/collected from Alison Arts, the condition/whereabouts of the item is beyond our control and we will not take any responsibility for loss or damage.
We are not responsible for any change of heart after the paint/artwork is complete. We insist that you thoroughly check your item/s onsite before any payment is made.
No item will be posted/handed over if not approved by the customer and agreed to be ready for collection or postage.
A paint job is considered complete when the final clear coat has been applied. Alison Arts shall not at any time be held liable for any damages incurred to a customer’s item as a result of its use, not held liable for personal injury inflicted while wearing any products purchased or products painted by Alison Arts.
Any damage that occurs to the item due to the nature of its use will be the sole responsibility of the customer or manufacturer, Alison Arts shall not at any time be held liable.
Returns and refunds
Since all artwork from Alison Arts is custom, we cannot accept returns on any products once they have been shipped or collected. If the item that arrives by post does not appear to be the same as the one approved for postage, we will do what is needed to rectify this problem.
Refunds are offered only if your item has not yet been painted or after a reasonable number of attempts to resolve any artwork issues by Alison Arts have failed.
Timeline
Typical turnaround time is 1 – 8 weeks*. Complex artwork, excess bodywork/fabrication and paint ordering times will affect turnaround.
An estimated time frame will be given, We will always do our best to complete the job within the estimated turnaround given, however, there is no guarantee as to how long a job will take unless a rush fee is paid. *Rush Fee – any job that needs to be completed outside the normal production time, or that requires overtime hours, will be charged a rush fee of at least 30%
Storage Fees / Abandonment
Paintwork is expected to be picked up and paid in full upon completion. Any job that is not picked up or paid in full and shipped within 7 days of completion is subject to a weekly storage fee of up to 10%. Any job left unclaimed for 90 days will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Alison Arts.
Shipping/delivery
Alison Arts is not responsible for postage charges in either direction. All postage charges incurred will be billed to the client. Alison Arts shall not be liable for any damages incurred during shipping. Alison Arts reserves the right to delay or refuse orders where a transaction contains incomplete details or details that cannot be verified or where fraud is suspected. Paint must be dry and completely cured to ship. Absolutely no paint will be despatched until it has reached a full cure.
Limited Warranty
Our limited warranty covers product defect and paint malfunction due to preparation errors only, for the duration of 12 months.
We do not cover damage to paint due to improper maintenance, riding wear, weather conditions, or petrol cap chipping and bubbling issues, this happens to manufacturer’s paintwork.
We do not warranty paint on any bodywork or paintwork that was not outsourced by us. if you have had any repair work or fabrication work done by a third party or yourself, Alison Arts cannot be held responsible for faulty craftsmanship of any existing coatings, sheet metal or filler work and is not responsible for damage to paint or bodywork caused by cracking or malfunction of sheet metal or improper mounting (i.e. fender bubbles) or any third party faulty craftsmanship
Acknowledgement
At Alison Arts, we guarantee the artwork that we provide. If there is a defect in your artwork, or you are unsatisfied with the artwork you receive, we’ll be more than happy to discuss with you how we can make it right.
Due to the nature of custom artwork, and the fact that a real, live, human artist with their own style and preferences hand paints each airbrush order, there will be differences to any reference pictures you have provided and there may be small imperfections that would not occur if you had the artwork printed with a machine.
We also may make changes as we see fit to improve the quality and appearance of your designs. After all, you are ordering custom artwork!
